You can’t seem to move forward. Whether you’re stuck due to sin or fear, the answer is the same. Turn to Jesus. He will help you move forward, for the words he told Paul so many years ago still holds true today. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, ‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.’
His Grace is sufficient. We need to rely on His Grace. Humble ourselves before Him and trust that He will make a way for you to move forward in His strength. So very often, we have to get to the end of our ropes before we rely on His power. If only we would learn we don’t have to ever rely on our strength alone.
So as you stand there not knowing how to move forward, may I suggest that you kneel before Him and submit to Him.
Tell Him the truth, “Lord, I can’t seem to find my way. I don’t know how to move forward. I am turning to you, asking for direction and guidance. Lord, you promise that your Grace is sufficient for me and that in my weakness, you will be glorified. I seek your will and your plans for my life. Lord, I trust the path you have for me. Give me your strength as I get up and step forward on the road you have promised to make straight in front of me as it says in Proverbs 3:5-6. I trust you LORD with all my heart and lean not on my understanding; in all my ways, I submit to You, and I know that you will make my paths straight.” Lord, help keep my eyes on you as I move forward. Thank you, Lord, for always being there for me. In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.”
