Life hits you fast; you stumble and get knocked off your feet. You are stuck in an avalanche of emotions and attitudes that you know aren’t good. However, you convince yourself that you have it under control. Friend, can I tell you something? It is okay not to have it under control; we are not supposed to. God wants us to seek Him and rely on his strength.
So, take a breath. Realize it is okay to be shocked, saddened, angry, or any emotion you are feeling. Accept that emotion, but don’t stay there. Sit at the feet of your Father and lay those burdens down at His feet. Let his presence come over you and fill you with His Spirit. He has this situation under control. He will help you walk this journey one day at a time.
As you face tomorrow, remember that you may not know what it looks like, but our Heavenly Father does. He is ready for whatever comes our way; He is already there, preparing the way for us to move forward in His strength. Lean on Him, trust Him, and believe that He will keep His promises to us.
“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”—Deuteronomy 31:8
