Rooted in His Word

Have you ever watched trees swaying in the wind? How they bend with the wind, and as the wind gets stronger, they bend farther and farther, and you wonder how they don’t snap. Then some trees do crack under the pressure of the wind, while some whose roots are deep in the ground can withstand the strongest of winds.

We can feel just like trees bending and swaying with the storms of life. Then when the fiercest of storms hit us, we feel like we are going to blow away. Ephesians 3:17 is a verse to cling to during these storms.

“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

So, friend, I urge you to root yourself into God’s word. Put your faith in Jesus and trust that you can take comfort in knowing that you will not blow away when the winds rage around you because our Heavenly Father has you securely in His hands.
