Puzzle Pieces of Life

Putting a puzzle together can be frustrating and relaxing at the same time. We dump the pieces out and start sorting out pieces to find that we can snap together. In the beginning, we are trying pieces to see if they fit because we are not as sure where each piece belongs. Then as we get near the end, we are snapping pieces together more quickly because we can see how they fit together. Then, if your family is like mine, you argue about who will put that last piece in to make the puzzle complete.

Our lives are like puzzles; we sometimes think we know what the puzzle is going to look like, and we start putting the pieces together, creating the picture that we think our lives should resemble. Then when a part that we expect is missing or the part that we have in front of us doesn’t look like we want it to, we are confused, angry, and hurt because this picture isn’t the picture you want on the box of your life’s puzzle. But friends, trust me, God isn’t going to allow a piece of the puzzle in your life that doesn’t belong. Our Heavenly Father knows exactly how our life’s puzzle is supposed to look.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13.

The trials, celebrations, heartaches, and successes are all part of a beautiful puzzle that makes us who we are. While we may not want that piece in our puzzle, that piece has a purpose.

You may be wondering why God allowed that certain piece in your life tonight; I pray that you find comfort in the promise of Romans 8:28.

And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

God loves us and has a beautiful plan for our life. We need to trust him with every aspect of our life and watch as the pieces fall into place to paint a beautiful picture of his Love.
