Walking in Faith

Ever fall into the trap of just living where each day feels the same? You wake up and do life only to collapse in bed to wake up and repeat.  Your body and mind are basically on autopilot.

This feeling has happened to me so many times. Some after severe stressors where it was my way of surviving.  Some days just because you feel like you are in a tunnel. It isn’t that nothing good is happening; it is just we don’t have the peripheral vision to see it.

We need to search out the good. Look for God working in the small things. God is always working; sometimes, it is just hard to see it because we are too focused on what is happening around us at that moment.

God’s word says that everything works out for those that love God.  It took the children of Israel 40 years to get to the promised land. You know that they had plenty of just living moments, but they kept their focus on the one true God who never breaks His promises. They had hope for better days and lived each day with that promise on their minds and hearts.

That is what faith is all about; Hebrews 11:1 states it best,” Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” They had faith because God said that the promised land would be theirs. They hadn’t seen it, but they believed because of the hope they had in God and His word.

We can have that same Hope and Faith. When things are hard, or you feel like you are just living to live, remember that God has a plan for your life. Seek Him with all of your heart, and He will direct your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6. Never give up on yourself or God, keep searching for Him. He will never leave nor forsake you. Reach out take His hand and follow the path He created you for.
