Wait on the Lord

Life is so fast-paced that we feel that we can’t slow down for a second or we will get behind. What if that is what God needs you to do? What if we are going so fast and moving ahead without really seeking His guidance? We need to slow down and wait on the Lord.

God has often allowed things to stop me in my tracks where I had to slow down or even stop. I remember feeling panicky and thinking, how can this happen now. I have a checklist of things that still need to get done. However, It has been in those moments that God has revealed Himself the most.

He tells us in Psalms 46:10, “Be Still, and know that I am God.” and again in Psalm 37:7, “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” We must be patient and slow down and seek His guidance; Psalms 3:5-6 explains it again,” Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths”.

We can’t acknowledge Him if we move so fast that we don’t wait to hear what He tells us to do. We need to stop, be patient and wait on God. He will provide all that we need. We must have to have faith and trust His timing.

Join me in this prayer when your life feels hectic, “Lord, my soul waits for you as you prepare the path before me. Please help me slow down and remember to seek you in all of my steps. Thank you for loving me and providing for me. Calm my soul, and let me hear your words. In Jesus’s name, we pray, Amen.
