Silence can be so deafening at times.
It comes in many different forms.
In the aftermath of a fight,
The slamming door of an upset child,
The parking lot of a doctor’s office,
The empty house, once filled with laughter,
Satan works overtime in this silence,
fills it with lies.
However, if we learn to listen in that silence,
we will hear these precious words from our Savior.
“I am Here. You are not alone.”
A peace settles in your heart,
You lean in to hear God’s voice.
You feel the prayer of others.
Then you realize that silence can also be healing. Being still with our Creator helps
calm the storms of life and roots our hearts in the truth.
Psalm 62:5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
